Spring into 2020 with an exciting programme of shows and events at The Burnavon, as the country’s top artists and performances once again flock to the Cookstown venue.
The Spring Programme is absolutely bursting at the seams, with the biggest tours and headline acts fighting for top billing between January and May. And the best news of all is that all tickets are available right now, making them the perfect gift for Christmas, whether you want to treat others or to spoil yourself.
Love Country? We’ve got two nights of Derek Ryan, a bit of Declan Nerney, while Robert Mizzell, Gary Gamble, Brendan Shine, Shaun Loughrey, Owen Mack and Curtis Magee will combine to create A Night with the Country Stars. Country Gold featuring Mick Flavin, Caitlin and John Hogan is sure to be another sure–fire hit.
Elsewhere on the musical spectrum we welcome Flash Harry: The Magic of Queen, as well as Lionel – A Tribute to Lionel Richie. The Sperrin Choir and the Mid Ulster School of Music take to the stage, with Kieran Goss and Patrick Feeny’s Holy City Gospel Tour also sure to be popular performances.
If comedy is more your scene, then you’re in for a real treat. Neil Delamere and Colin Murphy make their return to the Burnavon, Jake O’Kane will also be bringing his eternal optimism, while the cast of Give My Head Peace will once again be offering their unique take on proceedings. Conal Gallen rounds off proceedings with his latest stand–up show “The Joker,” while David Meade is back with “Catch Meade If You Can.” There also won’t need to be too many arms twisted to come along to the American Wrestling Supertour, which lands in April.
There’s no shortage of drama either, with the return of the hugely–popular “In The Heart of the Country” as well as “The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley,” “The Field” and “In the Name of the Son: The Gerry Conlon Story.”
Workshops available in Spring include watercolour painting, silk painting and pastels. There’s fused glass and furniture upcycling, a make–up masterclass and Easter floral art, as well as introductions to cake decorating and creative writing.
For kids the workshops include spring felt, Lego animation with iPads, Mothers’ Day card and present making, Artfunkle canvas painting and Minecraft workshops, meaning there really is something for everyone.
The programme will be dropping through letterboxes across the region in the coming days, and all shows and workshops are now available to book via our Box Office on 028 867 69949 or online at www.burnavon.com so don’t miss out.
